What should you do before activating your first card?

When you create a virtual card, it is activated immediately.
This means you can start using your Hero account as soon as it is opened and funded, thanks to this virtual card.

For a physical card, the process is slightly different: the card is pre-activated, which means you can already make online payments using the virtual version available in your app.

However, PIN code and contactless (NFC) payments will remain inactive until you have received your physical card.

Once your physical card is in hand, you’ll be able to complete the activation directly from the app and make your first payment using your PIN code.
