💳 Using contactless with a physical card

To ensure payment security, the use of contactless with a physical card is subject to the following conditions:

1. Activation of the card
   ➤ The first transaction after receipt of the card must be carried out by entering the PIN code (insertion into a terminal). This authenticates the cardholder and fully activates the card's functions, including contactless.

2. Maximum unit amount
   ➤ Contactless payment is possible for an amount less than or equal to €50 per transaction.

3. Cumulative contactless payment limit
   ➤ Contactless payments are authorised up to a cumulative limit of €150, or 5 consecutive transactions without using your PIN Code.

4. Once this amount has been reached, a PIN code transaction is required to reset this ceiling and continue using contactless.

📲 Use with Google Pay and Apple Pay

Payments made via a mobile wallet (Google Pay or Apple Pay) benefit from an enhanced authentication mode (by biometrics or device code). As such:

• ✅ Hero does not impose a limit on the amount per unit

• ✅ The €150 limit does not apply

• ✅ Transactions are secure via the mobile device, and do not require prior PIN activation
